Dassault Systèmes and HD Hyundai Heavy Industry ceremony – April 24th 2024

Dassault Systèmes announced that Dassault Systèmes, HD Hyundai Heavy Industries Co., Ltd. and HD Korea Shipbuilding & Offshore Engineering have signed a memorandum of understanding for HD Hyundai’s Integrated design-production platform.

Through this collaboration, Dassault Systèmes, Hyundai Heavy Industries and HD Korea Shipbuilding & Offshore Engineering aim to establish an integrated platform for design-production based on virtual twin technology, enhancing production efficiency and fostering innovation. Additionally, three companies plan to collaborate to provide high production efficiency, including reducing production lead times, saving costs, and ensuring high quality in the shipbuilding industry.

HD Hyundai Heavy Industries is accelerating its digital transformation in order to strengthen its technological leadership as the world’s top shipbuilder and effectively address the current challenges such as developing state-of-the-art, environmentally friendly ships, managing limited manpower, and meeting ESG requirements.

Dassault Systèmes will collaborate with Hyundai Heavy Industries leveraging its Marine & Offshore industry solution experiences which are based on its 3DEXPERIENCE platform and adopted by major shipbuilders. Utilizing best practices, Dassault Systèmes aims to ensure that the digital transformation pursued by HD Hyundai Heavy Industries yields the highest business value.
