Dassault Systèmes (Euronext Paris: FR0014003TT8, DSY.PA) today announced that space tech startup GalaxEye is using its 3DEXPERIENCE platform. GalaxEye will bring unique datasets to businesses and government agencies that will enable strategic decisions directly linked with the Indian economy such as national policies associated with disaster management, energy, mining, defense and the marine sector. Leveraging the 3DEXPERIENCE platform, GalaxEye aims to build India’s first commercial multi-sensor constellation of satellites, equipped with their patent-pending Drishti sensor, which is expected to launch in 2023. The constellation is expected to be in orbit within five years to provide “data as a service” to commercial customers.
The 3DEXPERIENCE platform will be used to develop technology and monitor earth in a more efficient and effective manner. The space-based geospatial technology and data-collection techniques will allow GalaxEye to rely on meticulous information gathering on ocean currents, soil moisture, air quality, and several other phenomena to predict changes on earth. This data will be critically important to businesses as well as government agencies working to set policies and monitor compliance. Through the platform, GalaxEye is developing technologies to deliver meaningful data from space such as details of an area of interest on Earth. This dataset will enable advanced image processing products and processes such as data fusion and cloud removal to further help provide insight at any time of the day or night, regardless of weather conditions.

GalaxEye was founded in 2020 by a team of five students and alumni of Indian Institute of Technology, Madras.
