Dassault Systèmes Acquires Diota, Bringing Augmented Reality and Field Control Technology to Its Manufacturing and Operations Customers.
Dassault Systèmes will integrate Diota’s solutions into its DELMIA applications, which are used to collaboratively and virtually model, optimize, and execute manufacturing, supply chains, logistics, and services with new levels of intelligence and decision-making. This combination will enhance the use of digital mock-ups and their associated digital processes for manufacturing operations by delivering interactive, operations-level solutions that connect a virtual twin with real-world data in the field. Customers will be able to perform very complex operations right-first-time, as well as use the virtual twin as a quality referential to adopt continuous improvement methods, improve traceability and capitalize on intellectual property.
Diota brings a wide range of solutions to support digital transformation in manufacturing, such as:
- Digital Assisted Operations to guide human operations step by step through augmented reality and support operators in their complex assembly tasks and quality control operations
- Digital-Based Robotics Inspection to conduct automated augmented reality quality inspection based on the 3D model
- AppFactory to build and customize apps to specific business needs and connect to existing systems and processes
