Olivier Sappin, How would you describe the main Artificial Intelligence inputs in the composites industry?
Here is my Insights of Artificial Intelligence in the composites industry: The components, structure and performance requirements of composite materials are becoming increasingly complex. Traditional methods based on experience, theoretical modeling and physics based numerical simulation are reaching their limits in their capabilities for discovering new materials, predicting properties of complex structure of fibers and multiscale materials ( such as thermo-mechanical properties ) , optimizing the design & manufacturing , assessing the defects, inspecting the quality and monitoring the in-situ health of composite materials ( via sensors ) Artificial intelligence and its data-driven models is able to understand complex phenomena that are difficult to discover by traditional simulation methods. Our MODSIM approach based on our 3DEXPERIENCE platform is combining the best technologies for modeling & simulation with specific applications to support composite end to end process.
To what extend your solutions enable manufacturers to reach mass production levels and also reduce environmental impact?

Covering the entire value chain is key to meet the mass production and sustainability challenges of the industry.
