Dassault Systèmes proudly participated as the platinum sponsor of Future Mobility Asia 2023, Asia’s premier mobility exhibition in Bangkok, Thailand. Building on our success from 2022, our second year of participation proved to be an exhilarating week for Dassault Systèmes representatives and event attendees alike.

Under the theme of ‘Empowering the Ecosystem’, Dassault Systèmes showcased its commitment to enabling collaboration and innovation amongst city planners, OEMs and local suppliers. By seamless information sharing and communication through the 3DEXPERIENCE® platform, time-to-market to develop next-generation vehicles can be reduced, paving the way for a sustainable future in the region.

On May 15, key media publications were invited to a press briefing, where Ng Aik Hock, AP SOUTH Cities & Public Services Director shared the role of virtual twins in smart city planning. Guillaume Gerondeau, Vice President Transportation & Mobility Asia, emphasized the need to speed up this mobility transformation to combat climate change.

Check out the following articles by Bangkok Post, Krungthep Turakij and Engineering Today.

“With the 3DEXPERIENCE platform, we can model the city in 3D, (which) we call the virtual world, and use the virtual twin of the city to design and measure the accessibility of the proposed EV charging stations.”

– Ng Aik Hock, AP SOUTH Cities & Public Services Director, Dassault Systèmes

“Electric vehicles require a complete rethinking of how the car is conceived, designed, engineered and manufactured. This is changing the paradigm of engineering, manufacturing and design. In fact, we have to do what previously took 100 years in just five years.”

– Guillaume Gerondeau, Vice President Transportation & Mobility Asia, Dassault Systèmes

The event booth was a captivating experience for visitors. The display, split into three sub-themes, titled ‘Empowering Citizens & Public Services’, ‘Empowering Start-ups & OEMs’ and ‘Empowering Local Suppliers’ demonstrated the practical application of the 3DEXPERIENCE® platform and its applications to drive the end-to-end development of future mobility. Technical sandbox sessions conducted by Dassault Systèmes partners further highlighted our value and impact in the Transportation & Mobility industry.

Concurrently, the strategic placement of the Future Mobility Hub beside Dassault Systèmes’ booth provided an immersive showcase of the end products, namely electric vehicles (EVs), autonomous vehicles (AVs) and electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) aircraft.

“In Thailand, we encourage customers to use the 3DEXPERIENCE platform to collaborate amongst stakeholders to build and develop products more efficiently with the power of the cloud and our portfolio, which brings everything together.”

– Mawin Khanabut, Technical Support Engineer, Metro Systems Corporation

Our presence continued to drive significant media attention, where Aik Hock continued to represent the company in exclusive one-on-one interviews with renowned media entities such as Bangkok Post, Spring News and TTN Online.

Prominent Dassault Systèmes speakers also took center stage at Future Mobility Asia 2023. Guillaume shared insights at two leadership panels and via his keynote ‘Empowering the EV Ecosystem’. He shed light on latest megatrends in the region, the importance of personalized experience and how OEMs can rethink the way vehicles are manufactured.

“We have to imagine the new mobility ecosystem of the future in the context of the city, and to be able to do that, the virtual twin is absolutely necessary and key.”

– Guillaume Gerondeau, Vice President Transportation & Mobility Asia, Dassault Systèmes

Matthias Meienhofer, AP SOUTH SIMULIA Partner Sales Manager, shared on the power of MODSIM (Modeling & Simulation) on the 3DEXPERIENCE® platform during his presentation at the Innovation Stage. He highlighted its role in accelerating design exploration, optimization and validation in the vehicle design process.

“By working in a single and collaborative environment and combining modeling and simulation, we can go down from weeks to days when it comes to designing these products.”

– Matthias Meienhofer, AP SOUTH SIMULIA Partner Sales Manager, Dassault Systèmes

This eventful week in Thailand highlighted Dassault Systèmes’ commitment to enabling the new mobility ecosystem to drive sustainable and efficient mobility solutions. The vision of a transformative mobility landscape in Asia Pacific South remains promising, and we look forward to the continued engagements in 2023 and beyond.
