Connected products and wearable tech flow around us : in our home, our kitchens, our cars, our bikes, in our clothes, and now… in our shoes! What’s better than a platform to think, design, develop and launch a new connected product?

From IoT to IoE

In a world of connected products, processes and value networks, the Internet of Experience (IoE) is the next evolutionary step beyond IoT. IoE enables real-world data from devices to be fed into their digital (virtual) twins. With IoE, Dassault Systèmes’ 3DEXPERIENCE platform delivers true experience-based and data-driven innovation. Through agile and multi-discipline collaboration, the distance between the real world and the virtual world (V+R) disappears.

Disciplines collaborating in V+R can navigate the past and the future in the context of their business, in a multiscale environment. The more stakeholders explore, experiment, share their expertise and make decisions in the virtual world, the more it becomes an open book to other disciplines, in sync with the real world.

Discover more during the IoT World Congress! taking place from October 16 to 18 in Barcelona, Spain. We will partner with the Innovation Lab of ECCO, a world-leading ,heritage brand of footwear and leather goods. Together, we will be in the Test Bed Area (Hall 2 booth TB5) to reveal the connected footwear platform and QUANT-U, the pilot footwear customization project.

The desire for perfect fit, perfect comfort and ultimate performance has been at the heart of footwear design for centuries. ECCO, a world-leading brand of footwear and leather goods, and its Innovation Lab have collaborated with Dassault Systèmes’ to develop a pilot footwear customization project named QUANT-U (quantified you). They have combined their technologies in order to create 3D printed customized comfort for consumers. For the first time, individual data is combined with in-store additive manufacturing to create customized silicone midsoles. Come and discover how to get customized comfort in a three step process based on real-time analysis, data-driven design and in-store 3D printing.

Come join us from October 16-18, at the IoT World Congress !
