How can you upskill workers with the capabilities they need to succeed in today’s ever-evolving world? One way is to give them hands-on experience with the latest technologies that are shaping their industry.

Recognizing this, National Aerospace Industry Corporation Malaysia (NAICO Malaysia) has set up an educational 3D visualization lab, located within its center of excellence.

The lab plays a pivotal role in NAICO’s mission to drive the development of a sustainable aerospace ecosystem in Malaysia. It couldn’t have come at a better time: the country’s aerospace industry is growing at an incredibly fast pace, fueled by the government’s New Industrial Master Plan 2030 (NIMP 2030). Over 230 local companies are now involved in the maintenance, repair and overhaul activities of the industry, as well as various disciplines such as aero-manufacturing, education and training, systems integration, engineering and design.

NAICO Malaysia’s groundbreaking new lab focuses on three key areas: ecosystem development, research and technology, and talent development. Noting that Dassault Systèmes has a proven track record as a catalyst and enabler of advances in the aerospace industry, NAICO Malaysia has placed Dassault Systèmes’ 3DEXPERIENCE platform at the heart of its lab.

Local businesses will have the opportunity to discover the power of the platform, including its capabilities that are accelerating sustainable innovation in the aerospace industry. They can explore its 3D design capabilities, for example, as well as project and data management functionalities. They will also be able to find out how key stakeholders across the aerospace value chain can use the software to better collaborate and optimize their supply chains, and even learn how it can help with process planning and robotics programming.

This is just the beginning of a strong partnership between Dassault Systèmes and NAICO. The two companies are also working to use Dassault Systèmes’ data science capabilities to establish a new technology and knowledge depository designed specifically for Malaysian aerospace companies. The aim is to aggregate industry-related information to provide key industry updates. This empowers local aerospace suppliers with actionable insights on upcoming tenders. These business analytics will help local aerospace companies to bid for global projects and increase their ability to work for the industry’s best OEMS and tier-one suppliers.

Read the full customer story for more details on how its 3D visualization lab and a data science system will help NAICO Malaysia to meet its objectives and – ultimately – those outlined in NIMP 2030.

Join Dassault Systèmes at at this year’s Farnborough International Airshow to discover how new technology is facilitating an exciting future for the world’s aerospace and defense companies.
