What images come to mind when you think of manufacturing? Big brick buildings, huge smokestacks and dust covered assembly lines? Well, not so much anymore. Today, manufacturing is interconnected shop floors, sensor-connected smart machines, and integrated feedback from design, the manufacturing floor, supply chains, distribution networks and even consumers.

Manufacturers can measure and control processes like never before; and their digital threads extend beyond production. Manufacturing doesn’t work in a “between four walls” supply chain; instead it’s managing a dynamic production chain that must be collaborative, highly interactive and simple to use.

Companies today have networks of factories around the world, moving towards having every site capable of producing any product any time. These decentralized factories then serve the market from whichever location is most cost and service effective.

For more about these trends, watch DELMIA CEO Guillaume Vendroux speak about the challenges facing manufacturers as they need to create new categories of solutions for new categories of consumers.

Being able to virtually model, simulate and assess potential process steps is critical to making sure – even before production — that manufacturing and service are compatible with an offer. Digitalization for products, services, virtual factories and virtual supply chains can test operational plans to uncover issues and confirm solutions before anything happens.

The more complex an operation becomes, the more that a sophisticated orchestration system is needed. Digitalization helps businesses combine just-in-time supply and highly efficient production; and a digital experience platform allows manufacturers to visualize and control in the virtual world what cannot be anticipated in the real world. What if you had the chance to see that in action?

You can! Join Dassault Systèmes’ DELMIA brand at the DELMIA Community Summit on Thursday, May 16 at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas. This event will bring together international business leaders, DELMIA customers and DELMIA technical experts for a day of networking, sharing and innovation.

Co-located with Dassault Systèmes’ 3DEXPERIENCE FORUM May 13-15, these two events will show how companies can evolve in the new global Industry Renaissance.

Dassault Systèmes’ 3DEXPERIENCE platform transforms supply chains into digital value networks to make manufacturers faster, more integrated and more agile. Join us at the summit, and have DELMIA experts show you how it all comes together.
