THE CONCEPT
The first question was how to represent data? What kind of data and what for? We also wanted to work both at the urban and architectural scale to avoid being too abstract or too concrete , but most of wall we wanted to build a signal that would make people realize that data is something real, that it exists and has a spatial presence.
So in a context where sustainability is central but also part of technological growth, we imagined this futuristic datacenter, which shape enhances the cooling of its core, which would be part of the city and linked to other parts of the projects – like the data collectors). What we wanted is to break the gap between people and their data and raise thoughts on its impact on our environment.
