Turkey has a population of 85 million and a GDP in excess of a trillion dollars, ranking it among the top 20 economies in the world. But despite being a major financial and political force, very few Turkish firms have brand recognition around the world. Succeeding in an international market is no small feat: Competition is rife and regulations are complex.

So when a homegrown Turkish entity does transform into a thriving international business, it’s a clear sign of high performance. Success requires resilience, innovation, cost efficiency and an ability to adapt to meet individual market demands.

Three companies in Turkey that are flourishing on the international stage are Turkish Aerospace Environmental Control Systems (TASECS), Sahince Otomotive and SAH Hortum. While fundamentally different businesses, there is one common factor to their growth: they have all leveraged Dassault Systèmes’ solutions to modernize their operations, improve efficiency and compete across borders.

Istanbul-based TASECS, for example, has replaced its spreadsheet-based system for managing the data related to its vast library of complex products – which include aircraft environmental control systems, air conditioning and climate control for aviation – with Dassault Systèmes’ single, integrated platform. As a result, it now has a state-of-the-art product lifecycle management (PLM) environment that has standardized the flow of information across the business and made it easier to supply major aeronautics companies across the globe.

Sheet metal forming company Şahince Otomotiv, based in the northwest city of Bursa, adopted the 3DEXPERIENCE platform on the cloud to establish a single digital thread across its entire business. Also in Bursa, SAH Hortum, a manufacturer of high-quality rubber hoses used for vehicles, kitchen appliances, air conditioning devices and more, is using Dassault Systèmes’ industry-standard design tools within the 3DEXPERIENCE platform to create 3D models of its hoses 30% faster and with greater accuracy – validating their manufacturability right from the beginning. At the same time, the platform’s PLM capabilities enable SAH Hortum to store all data and information related to its products in one place, to achieve more consistency and efficiency.
