Imagine getting into your car and the seat automatically adapts to the perfect position, just how you like it. It’s cold outside, but the car has already warmed up to a comfortable temperature and climate control settings target specific body areas. The smart pillar to pillar display in front of you adjusts to your vision and ambient light, while occupant monitoring responds to any stress and fatigue.
This is FORVIA Faurecia’s cockpit of the future vision, where drivers and passengers interact with the vehicle in entirely new and personal ways. The world-class automotive technology supplier is bringing its innovations to life with state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities and cutting-edge technologies, including the 3DEXPERIENCE platform.
Faurecia recognizes that to be a global leader in mobility it must embrace digital transformation.
“To respond to the latest trends, we need to be able to develop products faster than ever,” said Patrick Brionne, group industrial strategy and manufacturing engineering director at Faurecia. “Our digital transformation ambition is to be paperless and to gain data continuity from development to manufacturing and vehicles’ end of life.”
Faurecia initiated its Digital Factory project to standardize its manufacturing processes and improve information sharing across the company. Working in an agile mode with Dassault Systèmes, the company is enhancing its digital manufacturing capabilities and beginning to take advantage of virtual twin experiences to validate entire production lines, make layout modifications and monitor new plant operations in real time.
