How AI and model-based systems engineering are transforming compliance, collaboration, and design for next-generation nuclear reactors.
At this year’s World Nuclear Exhibition (WNE), Dassault Systèmes and Assystem are teaming up to demonstrate how artificial intelligence and model-based systems engineering (MBSE) can accelerate the development of next-generation nuclear technologies, including small modular and advanced modular reactors (SMRs/AMRs).
The joint workshop hosted by Assystem is designed to showcase the power of digital innovation in transforming how nuclear projects are designed, validated, and executed.
A Collaborative Approach to Accelerating Nuclear Development
The session will highlight the Dassault Systèmes–Assystem partnership and our shared commitment to helping the nuclear industry meet urgent energy transition goals. Together, we will show how combining MBSE, AI, and the 3DEXPERIENCE platform enables:
- Faster verification of design conformity to requirements
- Streamlined compliance and traceability for regulatory readiness
- Enhanced collaboration across engineering disciplines
- Smarter decision-making based on real-time insights
Inside the Workshop
The 50-minute session will feature two expert speakers: Berenger Fister, Digital Transformation Engineer at Assystem, and Xavier Bussenault, Business Value Consultant from Dassault Systèmes. It will include a demonstration of a digital workflow applied to a high-temperature gas-cooled reactor (HTGR) concept.
Participants will see how AI is used to:
- Map requirements to design principles
- Generate a compliance matrix with justifications and status updates
- Persist all data in 3DEXPERIENCE for full traceability and auditability
Participants will also see how NETVIBES data perspectives enable engineers to review and validate compliance results in context of the overall system design, efficiently keeping human in the decision loop.
Leveraging AI and MBSE for Real-World Impact
Behind the scenes, the demo combines the power of CATIA Magic for system architecture, the 3DEXPERIENCE platform for IP and know-how management, and the DeepREXT AI solution by Assystem. This setup demonstrates how AI-driven requirement compliance checks can drastically reduce manual effort and error risk in complex projects.
Why This Matters
As the nuclear sector races to deliver safe, reliable, low-carbon energy, digitalization will play a critical role in reducing time-to-market and ensuring rigorous compliance. This workshop will illustrate how Dassault Systèmes and Assystem are enabling the industry to move faster, collaborate more effectively, and confidently bring innovative designs to life.
Join us at WNE to experience the future of nuclear project execution.
