Connecting Microbiome Intelligence to Formulation
As beauty companies pursue more personalized products, understanding formulation performance alone is no longer enough. R&D teams increasingly need to understand how ingredients and formulations interact with the complex microbial ecosystems of the skin. Bringing this biological context together with ingredient knowledge, formulation data and predictive models can enable smarter ingredient selection, more targeted formulation development and stronger scientific substantiation.
The BIOVIA and HelloBiome collaboration will explore how microbiome-aware intelligence can support these workflows and, over time, contribute to microbiome-informed Virtual Twins of formulation. The goal is to give scientists a more complete basis for developing and substantiating differentiated beauty products—connecting biological insight with the formulation decisions that determine product performance.
