Today’s world is changing rapidly, and the skills needed for innovators go beyond just design, CAD, and manufacturing. A crucial addition is the ability to tell a compelling story using technology. This is where 3DEXCITE, the marketing technology brand of Dassault Systèmes, plays a vital role in empowering future innovators and marketers. With the help of 3DEXCITE applications on the cloud-based 3DEXPERIENCE Platform, students can create impressive visuals, technical illustrations, and browser-based 3D experiences to effectively showcase their products in the AAKRUTI Global 2024 Design Contest.

AAKRUTI Global 2024 is a worldwide design contest organized by 3DEXPERIENCE Edu and SOLIDWORKS for students in design, architecture, and engineering. The contest has been held in India for the past 11 years, and 2024 marks the first year of its global expansion, with participation from 1,600 teams across 12 countries.

3DEXCITE – Student Work 👌

Each student team not only created Stellar renders but also exported a glTF™ file, which was integrated with a QR code for the jury to interact with. Additionally, they developed a dashboard-based interactive web experience and presented their product using 3DStory.

A student team even went one step further, designed their kitchen in Home By Me, imported it in xDesign along with their innovative Gas stove 3D model and brought the data together in Creative Experience to do nice storytelling.

3DEXCITE – Winners 🏅

We sponsored a winner category titled “Best Content Created Using 3DEXCITE,” offering 3DEXCITE branded goodies and bragging rights. The winning team, Team Boksendais from the University of Johannesburg, South Africa, created impressive renders and an engaging video showcasing various material configurations in an interactive manner.
