The story of SIMULIA is built on a foundation of scientific excellence. The journey began with the pioneering work of Abaqus, which set the industry standard for solving complex, nonlinear finite element analysis (FEA) problems. Its robust solver technology gave engineers unprecedented confidence in their virtual tests.
Recognizing the need to understand how different physical forces interact, the vision expanded. The formation of SIMULIA and its integration into the Dassault Systèmes portfolio marked a pivotal moment. This strategic step brought together best-in-class technologies to create a unified multiphysics simulation environment. By connecting disciplines, SIMULIA empowered engineers to build more complete virtual prototypes, laying the groundwork for the comprehensive virtual twin experiences that drive innovation today.
