With renewed vigour, we focused on implementing proactive health and safety measures to protect the well-being of our employees and their families this year. To ensure business continuity, we shifted our business model to working remotely and have seen tremendous support for this from all of you.
We know GEOVIA events are an essential knowledge-sharing platform and avenue to deliver new and enhanced capabilities that add value to our clients’ business, so we went virtual. On our website you will find On-Demand Webinars, training courses, enablement initiatives, and digitally guided implementations. Our latest live online event in October – The Digital Path to Sustainable Mining – welcomed over 400 participants.
This year, more than ever, our products have supported our clients’ planning and forecasting for unprecedented and ever-changing situations. We have enhanced our traditional product range and look forward to sharing exciting new industry solutions and process experiences with you in 2021.
Finally, we launched The Sustainable Mining Network this year to discuss the future of mining. We look forward to hearing your thoughts in this exciting online community.

Michelle Ash, CEO of GEOVIA at Dassault Systèmes, has made significant contributions to the mining sector with a focus on Innovation Strategy, Technology and Digital Transformation. Highly passionate about Mining and the Natural Resources industry, Michelle remains focused on helping mining to evolve through digital transformation and the 3DEXPERIENCE platform, to help deliver sustainable solutions to the sector. Michelle is also the Chair of the Global Mining Guidelines Group - GMG and has contributed to develop best practices and guidelines for the implementation of technology and socially enabled changes in the Mining industry. Previously she was Chief Innovation Officer at Barrick where she oversaw the company’s Innovation program, looking both at how innovation can drive productivity in the existing business as well as how it can be harnessed to deliver alternative business models. She began her career as a blasting engineer with Rio Tinto. Michelle was named to the 2016 list of “100 Global Inspirational Women in Mining” by Women in Mining UK.
