Twins & Transparency
I recently had the opportunity to present at the AI Summit Brainport as part of its Explaining AI Track. This track was a conversation about what it really takes to trust AI, especially as it becomes embedded in strategic, high-tech environments.
Trust Matters
The track kicked off with a keynote from Arnaud Hubaux (ASML), who framed AI not as a flashy disruptor, but as a “disciplined apprentice.” In his world, each wafer costs tens of thousands of euros — there is no tolerance for “close enough.” At 3DEXCITE, we think similarly: AI can’t just amaze, it has to earn its place through precision, discipline, and repeatable reliability.

The Good, The Bad & the AI
We showcased how 3DEXCITE blends accurate product representation with generative storytelling – allowing customers and designers alike to shape, personalize, and understand their products in a human way. This is not about replacing the designer, but amplifying creativity: let AI listen, learn, and translate human insights into virtual forms that are both emotionally rich and technically aligned.
Human-Virtual Trust
Human and virtual companions are shaping the new alliance between the physical and virtual. In smart manufacturing, an AI companion isn’t a cold black box; it’s a collaborator, guide, and storyteller. When we treat AI as a companion, we’re more likely to build systems that are explainable, empathic, and aligned with human needs.

Staying Human
We culminated on the idea of remaining human in a world of exponential technology. 3DEXCITE’s aims to: empower people to envision, shape, and trust their virtual twins. We equip companies with the tools to own their data, actively create content, tell their stories, and harness AI responsibly.
